I don't understand why you want to shift to computers branch. Lot of people are getting IT jobs irrespective of the branch.

There is a lot of demand for IT jobs but not for other engineering jobs. But going further it will get balanced and already lot of jobs are getting created in infrastructure, automobile, electronic, retail sectors. I mean the balance is not just in terms of the number of jobs but the salaries also will come at the same levels across all the fields.

If the demand for IT goes down a computer specialization will not fetch you a job in any of these sectors. But with a electronics background you always have a backup option to switch back to electronics job if in case there is a slowdown in the IT industry.
