What is it that i need to connect multi computers to one phone line?

i want to be able to surf while the other computers are online.

is it a hub or a router?

i am on dialup for now until they get the cables ran for highspeed in my area.

I personally have not done multiple computers on a single dial-up line because it would be too slow and not practical. Just wait for your DSL line or ask for a WIFI service in your area.

Router, there better than hubs for internet. I recommend the WRT54G from Linksys.
