Ideas for a High school senior project relating to Computers/Internet?

I need some ideas for a project. I must have a paper and a demonstration. I am very interested in computers and internet, as well as Photo manipulation software, mainly Photoshop. My school offers no programming classes, so writing a program is out of the question. (it's a common suggestion). So I need some ideas for a project I can do in front of several people.

For my senior project ( this was 4 years ago) i wrote about the history of the internet which was mainly about Tim Berner Lee who invented the internet. Another good topic can be about the rise of Microsoft or Apple. The history of computers ( i tried that first but there is too much info).

For the physical part of my project i created web site templates.

Other neat suggestion if you are interested in photoshop why dont you try making a manga or a comic and using ps to edit it.

Also other computer related projects include building a PC in front of them.

You can do flash macromedia if you know how to do that.

You can make a website.

You could try programing in VBA, which comes with excel. Easy enough that you can teach yourself. You can *** ''buttons'' that perform different actions. So you can make the buttons into pictures, that way you can combine photoshop and programing.
How about something dealing with Microsoft, Apple and Linux comparing the good and bad and why or why not you should use each platform.
