Hi!

Right click on the desktop, choose ''new'' then ''shortcut'' then it will ask you to browse. Go to C(being your hard drive letter) programs-microsoft-internet explorer-explorer.exe. Click on that and continue and you should see it on your desktop again.
Try doing a system restore, it may help. From http://fixit.in
Dont worry about it, there is a spot in your start menu that you can use, as well as in your system tray.
Go into Start, then to all programs. Look for internet explorer in the programs. When you find it, right click on the words and left click on creat a shortcut. It will reappear on your desk top.
Do a system restore to the date when it was working.
I saw th e comcast guy do the coolest thing. He went tot he start meun and drag and dropped that short cut on the desktop.
Go to start in the lower left on the desktop, go to programs, right click on the one you want and select create shortcut
Right-click %26gt; Properties %26gt; 'Desktop' tab %26gt; 'Customize Desktop' button.
