Yes, mankind has become far too dependent on technology, if we lost all of our technology tomorrow, I am convinced that only myself and few friends I know have the skills to survive without what we take for granted today. For me, computers are fun, like this answering stuff, but I sure don't base my life on it...its a dangerously fragile world we live in. Mankind survived far longer without all of the crap we have today, but most of have lost the basic survival skills that used to come naturally to us.

That's an impossibility.
Well I believe that most people are addicted to the internet and computers but it would be awful hard to enforce banning computers for one day a week.I know I have been trying to cut down on my on-line time but it is still hard doing. So no I would not say to ban
How? We could have a voluntary turn off your PC day, but to ban computers for one day is not practical. It can't happen. You couldn't drive, no electricity, no drinking water, no phone system.
I would encourage computer junkies to turn the computer of at least a couple time per month. I used to. Those were good days.
