Having a problem with a network connection for the two computers and the internet connection HELP!?!

My husband and I have two computers mine is a HP Pavilion dv2020us Entertainment Notebook PC and my husband has a HP Pavilion Desktop. Mine is brand new and my husbands is a few years old. Well anyhow everytime with both connect I have to run the Network Set Up Wizard, Sometimes it will say we are connected without having to run it but when I sign onto the internet it say's that I have to run it so he can get on the internet too then other times he wont be connected at all and I have to run it for the internet and for the network it self. How do I fix this? I am getting tired of having to run it all the time. The last time I set it up it worked fine until I changed internet servers. I went from having Netzero to Netscape. An when I try to go into the properties for the Network for Netscape it bring's up my IE page (Logon for netscape) but nothing about networking. Even after I log on to Netscape it does not bring up anything. Is there a way to fix this also? Thanks in advance!

If both you and your husband are needing internet access buying high speed access and a router will be MUCH better.

Both of your computers are ethernet capable and the laptop most likely is Wifi enabled.
