Does anyone here use the spare power of their computers to help cure disease?

Just curious if anyone here does this. It's a very large global community that uses the spare power of their computers to help find cures for cancer, alzheimers, parkinsons, etc. It is done through Stanford University. Personaly I think it's a worthwhile cause.

Sounds very worthwhile to me. I have used the seti program and the NASA weather one till my hardrive went boom, but this makes sense. I will look into it further. Thank you for sharing we can all decide to use it or not ,a free choice to the worry worts. Thanks again

Thats pretty cool, I use my computer to search for Alien life :) www.seti.com
I am a bit paranoid about strangers accessing my computer, regardless of the circumstances.
I am going on record and making this bold statement of pessimism and lack of faith in the medical community. ''No cure for any major disease will ever be found.'' Thus it has been declared.
