Bill Gates and his wife have done many things for people in underdeveloped countries. That is what the NPP is about.
What? Bill Gates didn't win the Nobel Peace Prize. His name is certainly mentioned as a contender, but he hasn't won it yet. Also, using electricity hasn't barred anyone else from winning it. Why should it be the case for Gates? There are plenty of stronger cases that argue against his winning it, like his attempt to monopolize everything.
He set aside a Billion Dollar of his own money for a foundation to help young people. That's why he won the Nobel Peace Prize.
Bill Gates corporation sells the software that helps computers run. Never heard of him getting involved with the issue of climate change. He is putting large amount of money into providing medical help to undeveloped countries. Haven't heard news item you are talking about, so must guess that if he won a Nobel Prize it is in this area. If you said it is Nobel Prize for biggest ego would agree. Had quarter of that money gone to organization in place such as Carter Center benefits would be much higher.
